FAQ

What is FoxCast?

FoxCast is a free score-prediction game played inside sports pubs. Your pub runs a tournament on the matches it's showing, everyone predicts the scores, and the most accurate players win prizes the pub offers — a beer, a burger, coins for the pub's shop.

Does it cost anything? Is it betting?

No and no. FoxCast is free to play and nobody stakes any money — it's a prediction game for fun, not a betting or gambling service. Prizes come from the pub. You need to be at least 16 to play.

Do I need to download an app?

No. FoxCast runs in your phone's browser: scan the QR code at the pub or open the link, sign up with your email, Google or Apple, and you're in. Add it to your home screen to open it like an app.

How do I find and join my pub?

The home page lists the pubs in your country, and the map shows all of them. You can also search by pub or venue name, a team or match it's showing, or its 4-digit code. Public pubs are open to everyone; a private pub needs the 4-digit code you get at the pub.

How do I make a prediction?

Open one of your pub's tournaments and enter a score for each match, ideally before kick-off. Once you submit a prediction it's locked and can't be changed. Tap “Remind me” on a tournament and we'll email you about an hour before it starts.

How are points scored?

An exact score earns 5 points. The right result — home win, draw or away win — with the wrong score earns 3 points. Anything else earns 0. If two players finish level, whoever submitted their predictions first ranks higher.

Can I still play once the match has started?

Yes, if your pub allows it: you can join a match already in play up to the 85th minute, but your prediction has to respect the goals already scored. At 1–0 you can predict 1–0, 2–0 or 1–1, never 0–0. Points are the same as everyone else's; the narrower choice is the price of arriving late.

Why do some tournaments ask me to check in?

Some pubs keep their prizes for the people actually in the room. In those tournaments you check in before predicting — either show your check-in QR code to the staff, or share your location while you're within 200 metres of the pub.

What can I win, and how do I collect it?

Each pub sets its own prizes. When you win, the prize appears in your profile with a QR code — show it to the staff at the pub within 7 days, after that it expires. A pub can set a minimum number of players for prizes. Beer and wine are only handed out from 16, spirits from 18, and staff may ask for ID.

What are coins and the pub shop?

Some prizes are coins, added to your balance at that pub. Spend them in the pub's shop on drinks, food and more — coins only work in the pub where you won them. A purchase gives you a QR code to collect at the pub within 7 days.

How does my pub's leaderboard work?

Each pub has an overall table, and some run seasons. Every tournament counts like a single match: a one-match tournament adds the points you scored, and a longer one adds 5 points to its winners and 3 to anyone who got more than half its matches right.

What if a match is postponed or cancelled?

It simply doesn't count. Predictions on it score nothing and the tournament is decided on the matches that were played. If none of its matches are played, the tournament is cancelled.

Are all the players real people?

Not always. Some tournaments include computer players, so there's always a table to play against. They play by the same rules as everyone else: they appear on the leaderboard, can win prizes, and count toward a pub's minimum number of players.
